NTR Member Najua Medina : November 6, 1971 - March 26, 2011

If you have attended an Ontario Trail Ride then you likely met Najua Medina attending to the details at the KTM tent with her husband Predi.
Najua suffered a cerebral aneurysm last week and underwent surgery on Wednesday. Her recovery was difficult and she succumbed at around 1pm Saturday.
Najua believed in the Islamic Faith where death is accepted and viewed as a natural part of life. The belief that the deceased has moved on to a pleasant afterlife is an important one and helps the bereaved cope with their suffering.
Muslims view death as a transition from one state of
being to another, not as an end. They believe that your actions follow you
to the after life.
Najua was always helpful, kind and cheerful towards everyone so wherever she
is now, it is a much brighter place.
We will miss you Naj, our prayers are with you and Predi.
The service for Najua will be held at 1:00pm Monday, it
will take place at
The ISNA Mosque, 2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga, 905-403-8406.
The Muslim faith requires protocol different from what many of us are accustomed to. Women must wear long sleeves, long pants or long dress to enter the Mosque. Bring a scarf as well. The removal of shoes for men and women is also a requirement.
Update :
Many of you have been waiting for further info regarding flowers, donations etc. We've finally received the info and are passing it along as promised.
Please no flowers, in lieu of them and if
you would like to donate to a cause in Najua's name please consider the
following charitable cause that Najua and Predi have been working with.

Less Sound = More Ground
We had the OFTR performing sound tests at NTR rides, and there have been
only a handful of bikes that did not meet the 96 decibel limit. Those
bikes were repaired and allowed to carry on! More and more we find
sound restrictions are being enforced and more people are being made aware
that less sound = more ground.
So keep those mufflers packed and help keep our riding areas available to all of us!
